Our Mission

Founded in 1994, Franciscan Foundation For The Holy Land (FFHL) is a worldwide ecumenical organization, based in the USA, operating under the auspices of the Franciscan Custody of the Holy Land. The principal purpose of FFHL is to help stem the Christian exodus from the Holy Land by providing programs and projects that will serve as incentives for the Christians to remain as well as safeguarding the basic human rights of the Christian Palestinian minority living in the Holy Land.

Roughly 500 families of Christian faith emigrate from the Holy Land each year. Christians struggle with the volatile political environment and ethnic distrust. If the state of the Holy Land remains consistent, church leaders predict Christianity could become extinct in the area within the next 50 years.

By providing higher education and opportunities to advance econimically, we believe we can help stop the Christian exodus in the Holy Land. Our University Scholarship program is the cornerstone to this solution.
